She has worked in Tait for over 2 years where she has worked on areas such as developing the Social Enterprise Schools Programme; Social Inclusion Community Activation programme officer and office administration.
Her role as Community Employment Supervisor involves working with those who find themselves in long-term unemployment. She engages with each of these individuals to provide training opportunities, developing work skills, identifying employment placement opportunities and offering mentoring and career guidance assistance.
Kelly was born and raised in Raheen and was educated in Salesian Secondary College in Pallaskenry. She studied a Liberal Arts degree at Mary Immaculate College in Limerick and also holds a Masters in Post Primary Education from Hibernia College Dublin.
During her time working at Tait House community Enterprise she has also completed further training in Train the Trainer, Project Management and Social Enterprise Development.
In 2018 Kelly introduced the Social Enterprise School’s Programme which offers workshops that teach social entrepreneurship through learning by demonstration and participation to secondary school students across Limerick city and county.
The programme guides students through the process of building their own social enterprise and empowers the generation of ideas that address a local community or school issue.
In her free time, she enjoys travel and has recently visited Thailand, Iceland and Dubrovnik. She is passionate about her animals – her dog Oscar is her pride and joy!!
