A job was advertised in Tait House Community Enterprise for an accounts administrator, so I took the opportunity and applied for the position. I was successful in my application and commenced employment in a permanent capacity in May 2012. As a working mum, this position gives me the ability to maintain the balance between my work and family life.

During my time in Tait House I have had the opportunity to progress my BER career and Domestic Building Energy rating and because of all this investment I am still in full time employment and continuously looking to further my career. Being in full time employment has meant a great deal to me in my private life.

I started on a Community Employment Programme in 2003 as child care assistant in Tait House Creche. During that time I participated in training in H.A.C.C.P and a classroom assistant. I also completed 4 modules in Fetac level 5 half of the 8 modules that are required for the major award. DEC 2005: I started full time employment with the Southill Children’s Nursery. In 2007 I completed another 4 modules in Fetac level 5 I have now completed the full 8 modules. 2013: I now have advanced to level 6 at Mary Immaculate Training College in inclusive Child Care and special needs I now have achieved a full time position which has helped me in my private life as I was able to support my 2 children through college.
